HIJINX - SECOND STAR FROM THE RIGHT - SUITCASE PROJECT
In this project i worked in a special schools to deliver workshops inspired by the story of Peter Pan. The sessions and Art work produced by the participants fed directly into the theater production performed by HiJinx Theater and the participants creating a mulit sensory and mixed media approach to the stage show, which was perfrmed at The Wales Melenium Centre, Cardiff. The catch was, what ever we made had to be able to move and pack up inside the chest. In responce to the brief, our participants made pannels for a teepee that i stiched together as well as upcycling the chest to make it fit the purpose of the project. For the ease of moving the chest around, i created a trolley which greatly improved the efficency and manoverability of the chest. Once the project was finished the piece was placed in the foyer of the WMC.
ARTICUTURAL PROJECT
Crafted from mostly found materials like pallets, waste from building sites and street objects. The shed was built in response to the Articutural brief which detailed a therapeutic structure or sculpture. i decided to base it project on the Men's Shed Movement, a collected movement from all parts of the globe raising awareness around men's mental health and how to combat loneliness and isolation. The space was designed to provide a calm space to benefit wellbeing, escape university and breathe.
SPRINGBOARDS
The Springboard project was an amalgamation of stimulus to focus on creative exploration. The topics formed a basis for the Open Call project. Though the project i worked on different mediums before focusing on lino printing and brand development

Delos (Oval Sculpture) by Barbara Hepworth
This is a soundscape housed in a small, hand-carved, scented wooden model of the original sculpture. The soundscape is made by a method known as sampling, which involves cutting and pasting sounds reminiscent of the context in which the sculpture was originally made, on a Greek island in the 1950s. You can hear the sea, birds and other sounds of nature, as well as the sounds of agriculture and human activity.
